The team at Simm Engineering would like to congratulate our parent company PPS for winning second place at the annual 2017 Eaton Smith Awards.
The awards, which were held at Cedar Court in Huddersfield on 1 July, saw a number of local businesses gather for a breakfast and presentation, attended by previous winners and judges and by the Mayor of Kirklees, Christine Iredale.
The awards were established in 1995, with 12 monthly winners going forward to take part in the annual award each year in July, where three top prizes are handed out. Companies based in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield are eligible to take part.
PPS clinched a place at the annual awards after winning the monthly award for August last year. First place in the annual awards was taken by Proper Maid and Yorkshire Payments came third.
Director Ian Harrison, who stepped up on stage to accept the award on behalf of PPS, praised the hardworking staff behind the company’s success and paid tribute to Eaton Smith for organising the high-profile award ceremony.
Managing Director of PPS, Gary Whitaker, said: “We are thrilled to be awarded second place at this prestigious event and I’d like to thank the whole team, who all played a part. The Eaton Smith Awards recognise the contribution that local businesses make to this area and it’s an honour to receive this accolade.”
